What we do
Penetration testing
Authorised, controlled attacks on your systems to find the weaknesses a real attacker would use — before they do. Scope is agreed in writing up front.
Security assessments
A structured review of devices, email, cloud accounts, network, backups and user access, ranked by risk — the right starting point for a POPIA security audit.
Remediation
We fix what the test or assessment finds: patching, hardening, access clean-up, email and endpoint protection, then confirm the gap is closed.
Security projects
Larger, planned work such as firewall and network upgrades, email security roll-outs or Microsoft 365 hardening, run by certified project management.
How an engagement works
1. Scope and authorisation
We agree what is in scope, testing windows and contacts, and get written sign-off before any testing starts.
2. Testing
Certified ethical hackers test the agreed systems remotely and, in Durban and KZN, onsite where needed.
3. Plain-language report
You get a written report of findings ranked by risk, with clear steps to fix each one — for management and for IT.
4. Fix and verify
We quote for remediation if you want us to handle it, then check that each fix actually closed the gap.
POPIA security audits
Section 19 of POPIA requires appropriate, reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. A security assessment or penetration test identifies where your measures fall short and leaves you with a documented record of what was checked and fixed. Who carries out the penetration testing?
Testing is done in-house by Lelotech Integrated Solutions. Our team holds CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) certification alongside Microsoft, Cisco, Sophos and Mimecast certifications, and has 12 years of experience supporting government, organs of state and private companies.
Does a penetration test help with POPIA?
POPIA requires organisations to take appropriate, reasonable technical measures to protect personal information. A penetration test or security assessment shows where those measures are weak and gives you a written record of what was tested, what was found and what was fixed.
Do you also fix what the test finds?
Yes. We offer remediation and larger security projects, so the same team that found the gaps can close them. If you have your own IT team, the report is theirs to act on and we can verify the fixes afterwards.
Can you respond to a government RFQ or tender?
Yes. We have supported government departments and organs of state. Email the RFQ, terms of reference or specification to admin@lelotech.tech and we will respond with a quotation.

Onsite testing and assessments are available in Durban and across KwaZulu-Natal. External and cloud testing can be carried out remotely for organisations anywhere in South Africa and internationally.
